Ear Infections

Many people will suffer an ear infection or have an ear ache at some time in their life.  It can be handy to have some remedies that you can try in case you are unable to get medical treatment at the time.Sometimes an ear problem can be caused from having excess moisture in the ear. This can happen from swimming or other water activities.

For swimmer’s ear type problems try a mix of white vinegar and water in equal proportions. Put a drop of the solution in the ear then wiggle the ear to make sure it has gone in properly.

Some recommend a drop of colloidal silver in the ear twice a day for five days. Colloidal silver is known to have antibiotic properties.

A few drops of lemon juice put into the affected ear and held there for a few seconds before allowing to drain out, has been reported as being effective.

The lemon juice helps to change the PH levels in the ear making it an environment not friendly to the bacteria associated with the infection.

Put a couple of drops of hydrogen peroxide in the affected ear. This would assist in killing the bacteria.

Other remedies for ear infections and ear aches are garlic juice, drops of warm onion juice and warmed olive oil.

Take care of your ears and consult your medical professional for advice. If there is any moisture in the ear it will need to be drained out as moisture will breed bacteria. Keeping the ears dry is a good way of avoiding ear infections.
