Home Remedies for Toothache
Take good care of your teeth. Be sure that there are no food particles caught between your teeth Some things that toothache can be a symptom of are gum infection, tooth decay, sinus problems or abscesses. There are a multitude of home remedies that have varying success for toothache.
The success of any particular remedy is dependent on a variety of factors. While some people find that some remedies work well for them those same remedies might not work for someone else. If you are suffering toothache and can not get to a dentist try some and hopefully one will work for you.
Remedies

Cloves are great. If you don’t have any clove oil just use clove powder. Sometimes I just put the dry powder on to the tooth and around the gum. Mixing it with a little coconut oil also works. If you use clove oil mix it with a little olive oil or coconut oil. Cloves are antibacterial and contain a natural pain killer.

A garlic clove placed on the aching tooth can give quick relief from pain.

Apply an ice pack to the cheeks to reduce pain.

3-4 drops of vanilla extract on the aching tooth will provide relief from the pain.

One way of killing harmful germs in the mouth is to chew raw onion for about 3 minutes.

Apply mustard oil and turmeric powder to the problem teeth.

Gargling with hydrogen peroxide removes germs and bacteria from the teeth and mouth.

Oregano oil or even oregano from the spice rack placed around the problem tooth often relieves the pain.

Rub an ice cube in the webbed area between the forefinger and the thumb. Do this for several minutes. It should ease the toothache. It overwhelms the pain impulses that travel along the nerve pathways.

Some people find relief by chewing on ice.

Another ice remedy that is around sounds a little unusual but works for some people. Fill a bowl that is big enough to take your hand with ice and water. Put your hand in for as long as you can hold it down. Use the hand that is on the opposite side to the toothache.

Put cold cucumber on the sore tooth.

Put a slice of fresh ginger root on the affected tooth.

Soak cotton wool in apple cider vinegar and put on sore tooth.

Put a piece of raw potato on the sore tooth. Leave on for about 15 minutes.

Gargle with salted water. Gives 20 minutes or so relief.

Peppermint extract. Put some on a Q tip and put onto the sore tooth. Or use peppermint leaves.

A pinch of pepper powder mixed with salt. This also helps with sensitive teeth.

Use warm salty water as a mouth wash. This helps to get rid of tooth infection and also helps with the pain.

Lime juice works for some as does grapefruit.
